Studio A Art Classes

The Art Club: Down Under—Indigenous Australia

with Karen Anderson

The Art Club is a gathering place for young aspiring artists to socialize and learn art skills and handy tips working with a professional artist. During each class you explore a new skill and art form as you create art work guided by the artist. You receive an art kit filled with the art materials you need for each meeting.

Join artist Karen Anderson on an artistic adventure to the continent of Australia! Look at traditional and contemporary art of Indigenous Australians and discuss the meaning and patterning in their art work. Then learn about some very unique animals of Australia—the ostrich, koala bear, kangaroo, and platypus. Finally, draw and paint your favorite Australian animal inspired by the art of Indigenous Australians.

All materials provided. All class instruction will be on Zoom. You will be provided with a link after registration.
